About the Role
The Cutting Machine Operator operates and maintains cutting machines for accurate and efficient cutting of raw materials according to production specifications and safety standards.
The role supports daily production targets while maintaining product quality, machine upkeep, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser, plasma, CNC, die-cutting, or blade cutters according to work orders and technical drawings.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cutting layouts and adjust machine settings for precise cuts.
- Perform pre-operation checks, cleaning, lubrication, worn-tool replacement, and routine machine maintenance.
- Monitor cutting, inspect materials, verify material specifications, and minimize waste through efficient nesting.
