About the Role
The Procurement and Logistics Officer supports procurement and logistics activities to enable timely and cost-effective acquisition, coordination, and delivery of goods and services.
Procurement Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing, supplier coordination, and purchase order preparation.
- Obtain quotations, evaluate supplier proposals, and assist with pricing and terms negotiations.
- Process purchase requests and prepare purchase orders in the ERP or SAP system.
- Maintain supplier records, monitor supplier performance, and follow company procurement policies.
Logistics Responsibilities
- Coordinate transportation, shipments, and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain shipment documentation.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, logistics providers, and internal teams.
- Track shipments, resolve logistics issues, and support import/export compliance.
Operational Support
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal departments, and warehouse teams on material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate procurement and logistics records and prepare related reports when required.
- Participate in appraisals, KPI assessments, and development planning with departmental team members.
- Perform other related duties assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is required.
- CIPS, ISM CPSM, or CSCP certification is a plus.
- The role requires 3–5 years of textile experience in procurement, logistics, and/or supply chain operations.
Required Skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, attention to detail, and documentation management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems, reporting and data analysis, MS Office, and relevant systems.
- Familiarity with standard procurement and logistics processes, coordination, and documentation is preferred.
