Role Overview
Contract Cutover & Release Lead role supporting a major multi-release technology transformation across retail, e-commerce, warehouse, and POS systems.
The role owns cutover, release management, and hypercare for the non-SAP technology estate.
The position is based in Dubai and has an ASAP start date.
Responsibilities
- Build and own end-to-end cutover plans covering tasks, owners, dependencies, and the critical path.
- Define go/no-go criteria and run cutover dress rehearsals.
- Run the command centre through live cutover windows, including out-of-hours periods.
- Design and establish the post-go-live support model and run hypercare.
- Manage a rolling release calendar, preparing the next release while the current release is in hypercare.
- Coordinate internal teams, system integrators, and third-party vendors.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT delivery experience, including 5+ years leading cutover or release management for large, multi-system programmes.
- Ownership of at least two enterprise go-lives, including rehearsals and command-centre execution.
- Experience in retail or consumer technology landscapes such as POS, OMS, WMS, e-commerce, and customer platforms.
- Experience running hypercare and transitioning into business-as-usual support.
- Calm, decisive approach and comfort holding partners to committed dates.
