Customer Care - Quality Control Representative

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED required; a college, trade, or technical diploma in construction, trades, carpentry, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction, specialty trades, warranty service, project coordination, or a related field.
• Trade certification or hands-on experience in carpentry, finishing, painting, drywall, or related disciplines is considered an asset.
• Experience with new home warranty programs, residential possession processes, residential developers, or home builders is preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, finishing practices, BC New Home Warranty requirements, and residential construction standards.
• Ability to identify, assess, document, and resolve construction deficiencies, including minor carpentry, painting, drywall, hardware, caulking, and finishing repairs as required.
• Experience using construction management or deficiency tracking software, such as Autodesk, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, conflict-resolution, organization, and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working on active construction sites and in buildings prior to completion, including walking, stair access, documenting deficiencies, and completing physical repairs using appropriate PPE.

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

• Annual Base Salary: The expected salary range for this role is $75,000 - $84,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
