About the Role
We are seeking a CSSD Technician to perform decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The role requires 2+ years of CSSD experience and knowledge of infection control and safety practices.

Responsibilities
- Operate all required equipment and machinery accurately and safely
- Prepare, assemble, and sterilize instruments and supplies according to parameters
- Maintain appropriate records and monitor quality control and infection control standards
- Provide asset management and support of surgical instruments and trays
- Handle and care for instruments appropriately, including cleaning and examination
- Retrieve malfunctioning instruments and ensure repairs are completed
- Peel pack supplies/instruments and wrap instruments for sterilization
- Coordinate with Materials Department to ensure facility sets are stocked to PAR levels
- Communicate with operating room staff to provide required instruments
- Maintain records for QA and sterilization
Requirements
- NLT 2 years experience in sterile services (CSSD) field in a health care environment
- Current knowledge of CSSD systems management, quality assurance, and procedures
- Associate degree in a health related field with emphasis on microbiology OR successful completion of a certified CSSD training program
- Current National License
- Good understanding of medical terminology

Job Description
- The role is mainly responsible for performing tasks related to the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment throughout the surgery service.
Responsibilities
- Operates all required equipment and machinery accurately and safely
- Prepares, assembles, and sterilizes instruments and supplies according to parameters
- Maintains appropriate records, and monitors quality control and infection control standards
- Provides asset management and support of surgical instruments and trays
- Accurately handles and cares for instruments appropriately
- Retrieves malfunctioning instruments and ensures repairs are completed
- Correctly peel pack supplies/instruments, wrap instruments for sterilization
- Coordinates with the Materials Department to ensure facility sets are stocked to PAR levels
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors
- Promotes individual professional growth and development
- Supports department based goals
- Communicates with operating room staff to provide required instruments
Qualifications
- NLT 2 years experience in sterile services (CSSD) field; in a health care environment
- Current knowledge of CSSD systems management, quality assurance, and procedures
- Associate degree in a health related field with an emphasis on microbiology OR successful completion of a certified CSSD training program
- Good understanding of medical terminology
- Current National License
