- Tier 1: No additional experience required post board certification; Tier 2: Minimum 2 years clinical experience post qualification in an internationally accredited institute; Tier 3: Minimum 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification

Job Description
- The Specialist Physician shares responsibility with the Consultant Physician for delivering high quality, evidence based and patient centered care.
- The post holder is expected to be an example of clinical excellence and contributes to supervision and training of junior medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Supports and adheres to all hospital departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Assists Consultant staff in ensuring adequate medical coverage within the Division.
- Under supervision of Consultant Physician, diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards.
- Assists in supervising activities of junior medical staff.
- Leads ward rounds; reassesses inpatients and outpatients regularly.
- Documents all relevant clinical information accurately and timely.
- Regularly reviews results of investigations and modifies treatment as required.
- Liaises with other medical specialties and support services.
- Participates in multi disciplinary meetings.
- Ensures preparation of patients for procedures including informed consent.
- Accepts clinically appropriate referrals.
- Participates in on call coverage on a rotational basis.
Qualifications
- Tier 1: No additional experience required post board certification.
- Tier 2: Minimum 2 years clinical experience post qualification in an internationally accredited institute.
- Tier 3: Minimum 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in an internationally accredited institute.
- Qualifications from Tier 1, 2, or 3 AND current national license or equivalent.
