Responsibilities
- Describe selection of food & beverage menu items to guests
- Communicate guest orders including special needs to the kitchen
- Breakdown, clean and set up tables, buffets, and food stations
- Retrieve and stock linen, china, silver, glassware and food and beverage items
- Complete opening and closing side work
- Serve appetizers and offer coffee, tea, bread and butter
- Clear tables and reset them for specific number of persons
- Assist with food & beverage service throughout hotel
- Work harmoniously with co workers and supervisors
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a similar role in a luxury brand
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

About the role
- The Server Assistant assists the Server in providing an expertly served dining experience by clearing and resetting tables according to standards.
Main Duties/Description
- Describe selection of food & beverage menu items to guests.
- Communicate guest orders including special needs to the kitchen.
- Breakdown, clean and set up tables, buffets, and food stations.
- Retrieve and stock all linen, china, silver, glassware and food and beverage items.
- Complete opening and closing side work.
- Serve an appetizer to guests while explaining contents and preparation.
- Offer coffee, tea, bread and butter.
- Change ashtrays and crumb tables.
- Carry trays properly and safely.
- Clear tables and reset them.
- Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap.
- Breakdown any buffets or displays when needed.
Standard Duties
- Provide friendly and professional service.
- Adhere to hotel's rules and regulations.
- Undertake other duties within the scope of the position.
- Report for duty punctually wearing professional attire.
- Comply with local legislation.
- Maintain good working relationships.
- Respond to changes in the division.
- Be flexible and extend job duties.
- Conduct and attend training sessions.
- Wear hair restraint/hat, gloves in kitchen areas.
- Obtain required food handling/sanitation certifications.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
What you bring
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a similar role in a luxury brand.
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
