About the Role

Responsibilities
- Support Head of Credit Risk in credit portfolio management across geographies
- Interpret Group Credit Policy and related Standards and Procedures
- Review Credit Application Forms for compliance and risk mitigation
- Monitor compliance of spreadsheets, covenants, and conditionality on a sample basis
- Monitor developments in covered countries and conduct annual travel for reviews
- Identify relationships or sectors with elevated credit risk for close monitoring
- Assist in risk related project management and report compilation
- Ensure completion of annual reviews and timely delivery
Requirements
- Degree with an element of finance or equivalent, Institute of Bankers associate or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in corporate credit with UAE/GCC market knowledge
- Excellent PC skills, particularly MS Office
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of IFRS requirements
- Understanding of Banking products and related market dynamics (advantage)
- Awareness of Performance Management tools (advantage)

Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities And Deliverables Of Role
- Support Head of Credit Risk across geographies as principal or secondary point of contact
- Work across all transaction types including sovereign, corporate and financial institutions
Credit Portfolio Management
- Interpret Group Credit Policy and related Standards and Procedures
- Consult on Credit Application Forms (CAF) for adequacy and risk mitigation
- Ensure CAF compliance with group policies and indicate level of support
- Sample based verification of spreadsheets, covenants, and conditionality
- Monitor OOO report for outstanding documentation
- Monitor country developments and conduct annual travel
- Monitor completeness and timeliness of annual reviews
- Identify relationships or sectors for close monitoring before downgrade
Risk Related Project Management
- Provide assistance on risk related projects from single items to transformational projects
- Record contributions to projects for career management evaluation
Job Requirements
- Excellent PC skills, particularly MS Office
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Basic understanding of IFRS requirements
- Advantage: Understanding of Banking products and market dynamics
- Advantage: Awareness of Performance Management tools
Education/Certificates
- Degree with an element of finance or equivalent
- Institute of Bankers associate or equivalent
Experience
- Seasoned corporate credit professional with 10+ years of UAE/GCC corporate experience
- Good stakeholder management skills
