Credit Controller

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assess customer creditworthiness using credit information, financial statements, and payment history.
• Establish and monitor customer credit limits in line with company policies and risk guidelines.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and monitor account aging for overdue payments and credit risks.
• Resolve billing discrepancies, credit notes, pricing issues, disputes, deliveries, returns, and customer claims with internal teams.
• Negotiate payment plans and maintain accurate customer payment and accounts receivable records.
• Prepare weekly and monthly collections, receivables, bad debt, and disputed invoice reports.
• Provide management with collection updates and cash-flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with credit control policies, financial procedures, and accounting regulations.
• Recommend recovery or legal action for high-risk and severely delinquent accounts.
• Improve credit control and collection processes while maintaining customer relationships.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections.
• Experience in food trading, FMCG, distribution, or wholesale is preferred.
• Understanding of credit management, customer accounts, payment terms, and receivables aging.
• Strong negotiation, communication, customer relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP or accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work effectively with sales, finance, warehouse, and logistics teams.

Compensation

• Full-time position paying AED 6,000–AED 9,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work location is in person.
