Thomsun Group is a UAE-based conglomerate operating across trading, logistics, retail, education, and manufacturing.
The finance team manages accounting, reporting, and compliance across UAE operations and multiple divisions.
Role Title
The opportunity may be filled as Chartered Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Chief Accountant depending on the candidate's level.
Accounting and Reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting covering general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare management information system reports and financial analysis.
Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Support audit queries and provide required documentation.
- Maintain internal financial controls and policies.
Financial Management
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities.
- Perform variance analysis and track financial performance.
- Support strategic decision-making with financial insights.
Leadership Duties
- Supervise the accounting team for senior or Chief Accountant roles.
- Mentor junior accountants for senior or Chief Accountant roles.
- Review financial operations across divisions for senior or Chief Accountant roles.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant or CA Inter, depending on the role level.
- Five or more years of post-qualification experience for senior roles.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and UAE corporate tax.
- Experience in trading, logistics, or multi-division groups is preferred.
- ERP system experience.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and deadline management.
Work Location
- The work location is in person in Dubai.
