Accounts Manager

Role Overview

Financial Accounting and Reporting

• Manage daily accounting operations and accurately record financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Close accounts promptly and report to management.
• Review general ledgers, reconciliations, and financial records.
• Prepare revenue, profitability, and cost analysis reports.

Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor budget performance and highlight variances.
• Provide recommendations to improve profitability.
• Support strategic decisions through financial insights.

Cash Flow and Working Capital

• Plan cash flow and ensure funds are available.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital requirements.
• Improve collections and optimize cash utilization.
• Coordinate with banks on facilities, loans, and financial arrangements.

Trading and Manufacturing Finance

• Monitor profitability of products, projects, and business units.
• Analyze gross margins, pricing, and cost structures.
• For trading operations, monitor inventory purchases, supplier payments, sales margins, and stock movement.
• For manufacturing operations, monitor production costs, raw material consumption, overheads, costing, and variance analysis.
• Support inventory valuation and cost control.

Payables, Receivables, and Compliance

• Ensure timely supplier payments and customer collections.
• Review ageing reports and follow up on overdue receivables.
• Establish credit control procedures and reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, Corporate Tax, and other applicable tax regulations.
• Coordinate annual audits and maintain financial documentation.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and government authorities when required.

Controls and Team Management

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Strengthen internal controls and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Lead and supervise the Finance and Accounts team.
• Allocate tasks, review performance, and train team members.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA is required.
• Minimum 7+ years of finance and accounting experience.
• Trading or manufacturing company experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
