Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on offshore cranes, with focus on Safe Load Indicator (SLI) system
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities on SLI system
- Collaborate with maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules
- Diagnose electrical faults in SLI system and develop effective solutions
- Install, calibrate, and upgrade Electrical & SLI systems on offshore cranes
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on offshore installations
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
- Stay updated with latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- A recognized apprenticeship or qualification
- At least a vocational/technical High School Diploma Holder
- Safety Training Certification
- Compex certification will be an advantage
- At least 5 years of experience in the same field
- 3 years in a lifting equipment environment
- Experience in repair & maintenance of cranes related equipment
- Experience in working to schedules
- Experience in the offshore service industry or similar environment (preferred)
- Experience in cranes & lifting equipment maintenance & repair (preferred)

Role Description
- The Crane Technician Electrical is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems on offshore cranes.
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on offshore cranes, with a specific focus on the Safe Load Indicator (SLI) system.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities on the SLI system.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose electrical faults in the SLI system, analyze equipment malfunctions, and develop effective solutions.
- Install, calibrate, and upgrade Electrical & SLI systems on offshore cranes.

- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
