Responsibilities
- Operate different types of cranes, all terrain mobile cranes, and rough terrain cranes
- Understand and follow safety protocols and procedures while operating the crane
- Conduct pre operational checks on the crane to ensure proper working condition
- Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating parts and checking hydraulic systems
- Determine weight and dimensions of loads and select appropriate crane and lifting gear using load chart
- Precisely position heavy loads, especially in confined spaces or near structures
- Rig loads properly using slings, hooks, or other lifting devices
- Lift and move loads to specified locations with precision
- Maintain communication with ground personnel using hand signals or radios
- Complete required paperwork such as lift plans, checklists, and logbooks
- Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads
- Monitor site conditions and adjust crane operation accordingly
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hands on experience operating various types of cranes
- Possess necessary licenses and certifications (e.g., SAG and Saudi Aramco license)
- Preferably with previous work experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, or related field
- Proficiency in operating cranes, including crane controls, load charts, and safety devices
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety regulations
- Effective communication skills in coordinating lifts with ground crews

Job Purpose
- Safely and efficiently operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment at AMHEC’s clients’ sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate different types of cranes, all terrain mobile cranes, and rough terrain cranes.
- Understand and follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct pre operational checks on the crane.
- Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating parts, checking hydraulic systems, and replacing worn out components.
- Report any malfunctions or defects to supervisor for timely repairs.
- Determine weight and dimensions of loads and select appropriate crane and lifting gear using load chart.
- Precisely position heavy loads, especially in confined spaces or near structures.
- Rig loads properly using slings, hooks, or other lifting devices.
- Lift and move loads to specified locations with precision.
- Maintain communication with ground personnel using hand signals or radios.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and truck pushers.
- Adhere to AMHEC’s policies, procedures, and safe work instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Hands on experience operating various types of cranes.
- Possess necessary licenses and certifications (e.g., SAG and Saudi Aramco license).
- Preferably with previous work experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, or related field.
- Proficiency in operating cranes, including crane controls, load charts, and safety devices.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety regulations.
- Effective communication skills in coordinating lifts with ground crews.
Working Conditions
- Nature of work may require working beyond standard working hours.
- Travel up to 90% within Saudi Arabia to sites, yards, and branches.
- Maintain physical fitness and agility to operate controls effectively.
