Job Purpose
Support trainees’ emotional, academic, behavioral, and social wellbeing through counseling and wellness initiatives.
Provide support across on-campus and on-the-job training phases to guide at-risk trainees and help prevent dropouts.
Trainee Counseling and Support
- Provide individualized counseling and support plans for assigned trainees.
- Conduct check-ins and site visits, including at on-the-job training locations.
- Follow up on disciplinary cases and support rehabilitation and improvement plans.
- Respond promptly through appointments, walk-ins, and digital communication.
Wellbeing and Performance Monitoring
- Deliver wellbeing programs and awareness campaigns focused on resilience, stress management, personal safety, emotional intelligence, and positive behavior.
- Create confidential environments for open dialogue and refer high-risk cases when needed.
- Monitor trainee data in the Trainee Information System to identify attendance, performance, and behavioral concerns.
- Complete disciplinary committee forms and termination reports and support case follow-up.
Development and Stakeholder Engagement
- Deliver life skills, orientation, and awareness sessions aligned with trainee needs and institutional goals.
- Communicate with guardians and develop action plans for trainee emotional and academic success.
- Coordinate with student services, academic teams, and other departments to resolve trainee challenges.
- Mentor Trainee Council members and support their initiatives.
Institutional Participation and Reporting
- Represent counseling in academy events, exhibitions, outreach activities, registration drives, induction programs, open days, and national events.
- Maintain confidential counseling, referral, and follow-up records.
- Generate reports on counseling trends, trainee needs, wellbeing activities, and intervention outcomes.
- Analyze outcomes and share best practices to improve counseling services.
Working Relationships
- Collaborate frequently with trainees, academic teams, administrative officers, and internal departments while following confidentiality policies.
- Communicate regularly with guardians and parents regarding wellbeing, attendance, behavior, and counseling matters.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Science, or an equivalent field.
- At least 8 years of counseling experience.
- Experience in a vocational training center related to the oil and gas industry is preferred.
