Role Overview
The hotel is seeking a Cost Controller within its Finance function.
The position is based at City Centre Rotana Doha.
The role liaises with Food and Beverage on operational and cost-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare recipe and menu costing and suggest selling prices.
- Test the receiving of goods to ensure hotel procedures are followed correctly.
- Prepare daily food-cost flash reports and verify outlet void-control sheets.
- Attend major banquet events with open bars and prepare event P&L statements and revenue breakdowns.
- Reconcile outlet opening and closing stock with store issues and sales.
- Verify and control complimentary bar orders, Club Rotana food and beverage costs, room fruit baskets, and related items.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in hotel management or accounting is required.
- At least two years of previous experience within a hotel environment is required.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage cost controlling and computer literacy are required.
- Knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM, or SUN System is an asset.
