Role Overview
Manage cost control for fit-out, interior contracting, or joinery projects.
Apply knowledge of material costs, production costs, project budgets, variations, procurement, and cost forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost control systems, budgets, and cost reports.
- Monitor actual expenditure, commitments, procurement costs, purchase orders, and material consumption.
- Track material, labor, production, subcontractor, and installation costs.
- Prepare variance reports, cost forecasts, cash-flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete projections.
- Review BOQs, estimates, budgets, scope, variations, additional works, and change orders.
- Coordinate cost monitoring with estimation, procurement, production, planning, quantity surveying, project, and Finance teams.
- Track factory wastage, production efficiency, resource utilization, commitments, accruals, invoices, and expenditures.
- Support value engineering, management reporting, project handover, and final cost closure.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant cost-control experience, preferably in fit-out, interior contracting, or joinery.
- UAE or GCC experience is mandatory.
