Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain project cost control plans, budgets, and cost reports.
- Monitor actual project costs against budgets, analyze variances, and identify cost trends.
- Develop cost forecasts and cash flow projections, highlighting deviations and risks.
- Coordinate with project teams to validate cost data and implement corrective actions.
- Manage cost coding and ensure proper allocation of costs to work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Analyze committed costs, accruals, and booked costs to identify discrepancies and variances.
- Monitor project performance through CPI, SPI, CV, and SV metrics.
- Develop and issue KPIs related to productivity, resource utilization, cost allocation, and project performance.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier costs and support cost optimization initiatives.
- Assist with change management by assessing cost impacts and maintaining contingency allocations.
- Conduct cost risk analyses and support continuous improvement of cost control systems.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior cost engineers.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Cost Control Engineering.
- Proven experience in construction, road, and infrastructure projects.
- Mandatory experience in Ashghal Road Projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Experience in cost variance analysis, earned value management, and KPI reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of cost control software and forecasting techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple project teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
