Cost Analyst

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze cost standards tracking, wastage analysis, and major cost drivers to monitor trends.
• Support the Costing Manager with variance and trend reporting and communicate issues and opportunities for action.
• Evaluate historical data to develop assumptions, methodologies, estimates, and recommendations.
• Maintain the costing database and oversee setup of the ERP cost system under company policies and procedures.
• Analyze cost effects of product and menu changes, raw materials, and production methods.
• Perform cost benchmarking for insourcing and outsourcing decisions.
• Set up, monitor, and reconcile landed cost rulings for food and packaging-related foreign purchases.
• Collaborate on costing methodology, cost standards, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, or an equivalent discipline is required.
• At least five years of finance experience is required, preferably in production or manufacturing accounting.
• At least two years of experience in a similar capacity is required.
• Experience with analytical tasks and related report preparation is required.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
• Advanced JDE ERP experience or familiarity with another ERP system is required.
• Process improvement experience is required.

• The candidate must work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong organizational ability, accuracy, and timeliness are expected.
