Recruiting an experienced Contracts Director specializing in data centre development for a leading Dubai developer.
The role focuses on negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements for mission-critical facilities.
The role supports projects from site acquisition and development through construction, commissioning, and operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead commercial and contractual strategy for data centre development and expansion programmes.
- Negotiate site, land, infrastructure, power, connectivity, and access arrangements.
- Develop agreements for core spaces, technical areas, white space, equipment rooms, utility areas, and associated infrastructure.
- Manage capacity, space allocation, power, connectivity, cooling, security, and critical infrastructure contracts.
- Lead negotiations with landlords, developers, operators, utilities, contractors, suppliers, and strategic customers.
- Draft and negotiate MSAs, leases, licences, development agreements, service agreements, capacity agreements, and schedules.
- Manage contractual risk, liability, indemnities, warranties, insurance, termination rights, service levels, and change control.
- Partner with Legal, Development, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Programme Management.
- Provide senior commercial advice to executive stakeholders.
- Oversee governance, compliance, variations, claims, disputes, renewals, and commercial performance.
Data Centre Contracting Expertise
- Experience with site and location agreements, land and property arrangements, development and access rights, and utility arrangements.
- Experience with fibre and connectivity rights, easements, rights of way, infrastructure access, and long-term capacity commitments.
- Experience with white space, equipment areas, power and cooling infrastructure, MEP and utility spaces, and shared technical areas.
- Experience with customer and operator access arrangements, space allocation, capacity agreements, and expansion provisions.
Leadership Profile
Commercially astute and strategically focused Contracts Director able to operate at board, executive, project, and technical levels.
Recognized for leading high-value negotiations and delivering contracts that balance commercial value, resilience, programme certainty, and contractual risk.
