- Administer and manage project commercial and contractual matters on behalf of the consultant and client
- Review, verify, and certify contractor interim payment applications
- Monitor project costs, commitments, and expenditures to ensure effective cost control
- Evaluate, negotiate, and recommend variations, change orders, and compensation events
- Review contractor claims related to time, cost, disruption, and extensions of time
- Provide commercial advice and recommendations to the client regarding contractual entitlements and risk mitigation
- Administer contract provisions in accordance with FIDIC and project specific requirements
- Prepare commercial reports, cost forecasts, cash flow analyses, and management summaries
- Review and assess contractor submissions related to pricing, rates, valuations, and financial impacts
- Assist in procurement support, tender evaluations, bid assessments, and contractor appointment processes
- Identify commercial risks, monitor exposure, and implement appropriate mitigation measures
- Maintain accurate records of variations, claims, payment certificates, instructions, and contractual correspondence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
- UPDA/MMUP Grade A in QS
- 12+ years of experience in cost management, contract administration, commercial controls, and claims management
- Data Center Experience (at least 1 project delivered in the last 5 years) preferred
- FIDIC based contract experience preferred

Job Description Overview
- Seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager with 12+ years of experience in cost management, contract administration, commercial controls, and claims management for large scale construction projects, including mission critical data center developments.
- The role will support the client and consultant team in managing commercial risks, contract compliance, cost control, variations, and final account settlement throughout the project lifecycle.
Your role
- Administer and manage project commercial and contractual matters on behalf of the consultant and client.
- Review, verify, and certify contractor interim payment applications in accordance with contract requirements.
- Monitor project costs, commitments, and expenditures to ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and recommend variations, change orders, and compensation events.
- Review contractor claims related to time, cost, disruption, and extensions of time in coordination with project controls and contract teams.
- Provide commercial advice and recommendations to the client regarding contractual entitlements and risk mitigation strategies.
- Administer contract provisions in accordance with FIDIC and project specific contractual requirements.
- Prepare commercial reports, cost forecasts, cash flow analyses, and management summaries.
- Review and assess contractor submissions related to pricing, rates, valuations, and financial impacts of project changes.

About you
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent. MRICS or equivalent preferred.
- UPDA/MMUP Grade A in QS.
- Data Center Experience [at least 1 project is delivered in the last 5 years] is preferred.
- 12+ years of experience.
- Payment review, change control, variations, claims review, contract administration, final account support and commercial reporting; FIDIC based contract experience preferred.
