- Propose techniques and standards for project control systems to maximize efficiency
- Advise PWA on suitable Contract Procurement Strategy
- Develop KPI’s & Earned Value System and oversee implementation, monitoring and reporting
- Lead team of project control personnel on assigned projects
- Advise Department/Affair Manager on project control submittals, slippages, recovery schedules
- Propose optimum utilization of Human and Technological resources including training
- Examine and report on roles and efficiencies of Consultants, Project Managers and Contractor
- Review Contractor’s claims that need expert opinion
Requirements
- University degree from a recognised university in Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered status or Professional License from internationally recognized professional institutions or organizations
- Minimum of 20 years postgraduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes
- 10 years in similar position, and 5 years in Qatar and / or the Gulf region
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experienced user of Primavera P6, and MS Office
- Sound knowledge of planning and scheduling of roads and infrastructure projects
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (desirable)
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in Arabic (desirable)
- Background in business analytics and big data (desirable)

Job Description Overview
- The role will be required to support in implementing all aspects of the planning, scheduling and reporting activities pertaining to the delivery of a large Programme for Qatar.
- The position is responsible implementing all the tasks related to planning, scheduling and reporting consistently across the Programme.
Your Role
- Investigate and identify the administration of the existing project control systems used to manage PWA projects and services.
- Propose techniques and standards for the project control systems to maximize efficiency of project control activities.
- Advise PWA on suitable Contract Procurement Strategy.
- Develop KPI’s & Earned Value System and oversees the implementation, monitoring and reporting of compliance and efficiency of the KPI’s & Earned Value System.
- Lead team of project control personnel assigned by the Contractor, Project Consultants and PWA departments on any assigned projects.
- Advise the Department/Affair Manager on the project control submittals, project slippages, recovery schedules and other progress review outcomes.
- Propose optimum utilization of Human and Technological resources including arranging and facilitating trainings of staff on Project Controls software.
- Examine and report on the roles and efficiencies of Consultants, Project Managers and Contractor in line with contractual requirements.
- Review the Contractor’s claim that need expert opinion, as and when required.
Mandatory Requirements
- University degree from a recognised university in Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered status or Professional License from internationally recognized professional institutions or organizations.
- Minimum of 20 years postgraduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes, preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience, 10 years in similar position, and 5 years in Qatar and / or the Gulf region.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in Arabic.
- Background in business analytics and big data.
Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects.
- Experienced user of Primavera P6, and MS Office.
- Sound knowledge of planning and scheduling of roads and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in working on latest planning tools and techniques.
- Experience in risk management tools and techniques, e.g. predict.
- Experience of working with consultant or client organisations.
- Sound Knowledge of Extension of Time Claim analysis.
- A “rounded profile”, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process.
- Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures.
