- Design and develop communications and engagement strategies for the IFRC network
- Design all visual design and branding needs for Solferino Academy products
- Build videos and edit video contributions for brand consistency
- Lead visual design of reports and documents
- Manage solferinoacademy.com website including building web pages and surveys
- Advise on engagement trends and strategies for the website
- Identify and manage additional digital platforms as needed
- Support additional web developers and technical volunteers
- Assist with moderating and updating Solferino Academy social media channels
- Attend project team meetings as requested
Requirements
- Experience managing projects requiring timely delivery on digital and visual design elements
- Experience with cross media campaigning, signage design, type design, animation
- Experience with event design and visual elements
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and design packages
- Web design and strong development proficiency with WordPress
- Expertise with digital and social media communications
- Expertise with video editing, production, and design
- Expertise in graphic/visual design
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Proficiency in at least one other IFRC language (French, Spanish, or Arabic)

Job Purpose
- Lead development of digital products and tools for the Locally led climate action summit.
- Develop highly engaging communication strategies and products.
- Play key role in designing Network engagement strategies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Strategy
- Help design communications and engagement strategies for the IFRC network.
- Liaise with key partner relationships.
- Build project plans and monitor deliverables.
- Report regularly to head of solferino academy.
Visual Design and Art Direction
- Design all visual design and branding needs.
- Execute creative digital products.
- Build videos and edit video contributions.
- Lead visual design of reports and documents.
- Collaborate with other designers.
Web and Digital Platforms
- Manage solferinoacademy.com website.
- Advise on engagement trends.
- Identify and manage additional digital platforms.
- Support additional web developers.
- Assist with moderating social media channels.
- Work closely with communications teams.
Education
- A university degree in communications and multimedia is preferable but not essential.
Experience
- Experience managing projects requiring timely delivery on digital and visual design elements.
- Experience with cross media campaigning, signage design, type design, animation.
- Experience with event design and visual elements.
Knowledge, Skills and Languages
- Able to manage relationships with partners.
- Ability to convert complex information into simple visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Web design and strong development proficiency with WordPress.
- Expertise with digital and social media communications.
- Expertise with video editing.
- Expertise in graphic/visual design.
- Highly developed graphic concept creation.
- Highly familiar with Red Cross and Red Crescent network.
