- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications
- Provide crisis intervention and manage psychiatric emergencies
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, CME, and research
- Mentor junior medical staff
Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification
- Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized Consultant Psychiatry qualification
- Minimum 5 10 years of post specialization experience at Consultant level
- Eligibility for or possession of relevant UAE medical license (DHA, DOH, or MOH)
- Strong expertise in adult psychiatry

Job Overview
- We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join a leading healthcare provider in the UAE.
- The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations.
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, PTSD, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and sleep disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while ensuring patient safety.
- Provide crisis intervention and manage psychiatric emergencies.
- Deliver psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and counseling to patients and families.
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, CME, and research activities.
- Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to departmental education and service development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
- Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized Consultant Psychiatry qualification.
- Minimum 5 10 years of post specialization experience at the Consultant level.
- Eligibility for or possession of the relevant UAE medical license (DHA, DOH, or MOH).
- Strong expertise in adult psychiatry; subspecialty experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, empathy, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
