About the Role

- Oversee clinical activities of junior medical staff
- Lead ward rounds and reassess inpatients and outpatients regularly
- Participate in multi disciplinary meetings for holistic patient care
- Participate in on call coverage on a rotational basis
- Help lead quality improvement within the Department
- Promote and participate in clinical research and publication
Requirements
- Tier 1: NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification
- Tier 2: NLT 8 years full time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post board certification in an internationally accredited institute
- Qualification from Tier 1 or Tier 2
- Current national license or equivalent
- Certified proof of yearly CME

Job Description
- The Consultant Physician is responsible for leading and supervising the delivery of high quality evidence based care.
- Effectively and efficiently diagnosing, managing and treating all patients placed under the post holder’s care.
- Expected to be an example of clinical excellence within his or her specialty and to provide leadership and training for junior medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Helps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system.
- Participates in peer review and productivity and utilization review processes.
- Assists with scheduling and ensures adequate medical coverage.
- Attends Divisional meetings as required.
- Assists in recruitment of new medical staff when appropriate.
- Diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards.
- Oversees clinical activities of junior medical staff.
- Complies with all established hospital policies regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, etc.
- Leads ward round; reassesses inpatients and outpatients regularly.
- Accurately documents all relevant clinical information.
- Regularly reviews results of investigations and modifies treatment.
Qualifications
- Tier 1: NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification.
- Tier 2: NLT 8 years full time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post board certification in an internationally accredited institute.
- For UAE Nationals: Clinical Fellowship training may substitute for experience.
- Qualification from Tier 1 or Tier 2.
- Current national license or equivalent.
- Certified proof of yearly CME.
