Requirements
- Tier 1: NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification
- Tier 2: NLT 8 years full time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post board certification
- Qualification from Tier 1 or Tier 2
- Current national license or equivalent
- Certified proof of yearly CME

Job Description
- The Consultant Physician is responsible for leading and supervising the delivery of high quality evidence based care; effectively and efficiently diagnosing, managing and treating all patients placed under the post holder’s care.
Responsibilities
- Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures
- Helps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system
- Assists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring adequate medical coverage
- Attends Divisional meetings as required
- Assists the Division Chief in the recruitment of new medical staff when appropriate
- Diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice
- Oversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff
- Leads ward round; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis
- Accurately documents all relevant clinical information
- Regularly reviews results of all investigations and modifies treatment as required
- Liaises with other medical specialties and support services
- Participates in and ensures the provision on call hours coverage
Qualifications
- Tier 1: NLT 2 years relevant experience as a consultant or equivalent post board certification
- Tier 2: NLT 8 years full time employment as a Consultant or equivalent post board certification
- Qualification from Tier 1 or Tier 2
- Current national license or equivalent
- Certified proof of yearly CME
