Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage pediatric surgical conditions in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents
- Perform a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures including congenital anomaly correction, neonatal surgery, pediatric abdominal surgery, hernia repair, appendectomy, bowel surgery, pediatric urological procedures, minimally invasive/laparoscopic pediatric surgery, and trauma/emergency interventions
- Conduct comprehensive pre operative assessments and provide post operative care
- Manage complex pediatric surgical cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide family counseling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, and follow up care
- Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, and other specialists
- Participate in pediatric surgical multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and clinical discussions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations and hospital policies
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME)
- Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and contribute to departmental education and service development
Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification
- Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Pediatric Surgery
- Minimum 5 10 years of post specialization experience at Consultant level
- Eligibility for or possession of a Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi Consultant license
- Extensive experience in pediatric and neonatal surgical procedures
- Strong clinical decision making, surgical expertise, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills with children, families, and healthcare teams
- Commitment to delivering safe, evidence based, patient centered pediatric surgical care

- We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatric Surgeon to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- The successful candidate will provide specialized surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents, managing a wide range of congenital, acquired, and emergency surgical conditions with a patient centered approach.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working in internationally accredited children's hospitals or tertiary pediatric surgical centers.
- Fellowship training or expertise in minimally invasive pediatric surgery, neonatal surgery, pediatric urology, or pediatric oncology surgery is an advantage.
- UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
