About the Role
Client of Brunel seeks a Construction Supervisor (Mechanical) for a project in Doha, Qatar. The role involves supervising EPIC contractor's static and rotating equipment installation, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Supervise EPIC contractor's static and rotating equipment inspection and installation activities
- Attend Requests For Inspections (RFIs) and sign off inspection and test reports
- Lead construction contractor on mechanical aspects of equipment installation
- Manage final mechanical completion inspections and punch closing
- Supervise pre commissioning activities and ensure safety and quality
- Participate in PSSR and support operations pre start up activities
- Maintain daily progress records and report anomalies to senior supervisor
Requirements
- 10 15 years of experience in construction supervision
- Experience with static and rotating equipment installation
- Good knowledge of P&IDs, GA, structural drawings, equipment layout, and mechanical drawings
- Ability to lead safety and quality inspections

Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters and act as a safety leader
- Report to Discipline Construction Lead/Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues, events, progress, trends and recommendations
- Assist functional supervisor in review/approval of Construction documentation including Method Statements, JHAs, MARs etc.
- Supervise all EPIC contractor's Static & Rotating equipment inspection & installation activities
- Attend Requests For Inspections (RFIs) as per approved ITPs including Material Receiving Inspections
- Ensure quality of manufacturing and erection works, dimensional accuracy and orientation
- Lead construction contractor(s) on all mechanical aspects of Static and Rotating Equipment installation works
- Supervise execution of Static and Rotating Equipment installation, FAT, alignment Inspection, Punch Clearing, pressure testing, pre commissioning and Re instatement
- Manage and lead final mechanical completion inspections and punch closing
- Supervise pre Com activities to ensure safety and quality
- Lead inspection activity with Vendor/Supplier at Site
- Participate in PSSR and provide support to Operations pre & start up activity
Additional Duties
- Co ordinate mobilization of contractors on site
- Carryout daily checks on contractor's staff and work
- Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special comments
- Report work anomalies or contractual deviations to Sr Supervisor
- Sign work permits on behalf of Company and ensure contractor's compliance
- Participate in development of as built drawings/documentation
- Accountable for supervising contractor's work, inspecting work, reporting problems and preventing accidents
- Liaise and report with QA/QC Inspector on quality related matters
