Lead large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through completion and handover.
Own project delivery across planning, execution, cost control, contracts, procurement, quality, safety, manpower, subcontractors, and client coordination.
Project Planning and Execution
- Take overall responsibility for successful construction project delivery.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Monitor milestones, deliverables, constraints, dependencies, and critical activities.
- Coordinate construction activities from mobilization through completion and handover.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, safety, and commercial teams.
Site and Construction Management
- Lead day-to-day construction activities in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Manage site teams, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Optimize manpower, materials, equipment, and other project resources.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover.
Cost and Commercial Management
- Monitor project budgets, costs, cash flow, forecasts, and expenditure.
- Coordinate variations, claims, extensions of time, and contractual matters.
- Ensure measurement, certification, billing, and payment processes are completed properly.
- Review project financial performance and report to senior management.
Contracts and Stakeholders
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor subcontractor performance against scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Support negotiation and resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
- Conduct project reviews and coordinate with authorities and statutory agencies when required.
Quality, Safety, and Risk
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, drawings, and applicable regulations.
- Promote health, safety, and environmental practices across the project.
- Monitor risks, issues, delays, and dependencies and develop mitigation or recovery plans.
- Maintain project documentation, track KPIs, and drive lessons learned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of construction project management experience.
- Experience with large and complex projects and the complete project lifecycle.
- Experience managing site teams, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and multiple stakeholders.
