Role Overview
GFT is recruiting Construction Managers and Inspectors for its Construction Services Group in Toronto, Ontario.
The role supports transportation projects in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
The position follows an on-site model with full attendance at the client worksite.
The roles are scheduled to start in October.
Responsibilities
- Establish a safety-first culture across construction projects.
- Participate in pre-construction development and constructability reviews.
- Oversee construction activities and lead inspections for quality and safety compliance.
- Inspect materials and methods against contract documents.
- Document construction activity, environmental events, and progress for project closeout.
- Issue and follow up on deficiency reports and corrective actions.
- Assist with construction issue resolution and process improvement.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control functions and coordinate inspections.
- Lead small projects involving change notices for as-constructed drawings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and report on contract compliance.
- Review contractor work quality and prepare client reports.
- Pursue professional growth and leadership training.
