About the Role
INFRAROSE seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead airside works for a large-scale airport project in Kinshasa. The role requires 7-10 years of construction management experience, preferably in airport infrastructure, and strong technical expertise in runways, taxiways, and aprons.

Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day to day construction activities across assigned workstreams
- Support technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations and risk assessments
- Translate engineering designs into executable construction plans
- Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to approved schedules
- Plan and manage airside phasing and work windows, including shift/night works
- Coordinate airside execution interfaces to avoid rework and maintain critical path
- Ensure survey control, setting out and level/line control for airside geometry compliance
- Review and interpret approved drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities
- Review and ensure implementation of method statements, inspection and test plans, and permits
- Plan and control site resource deployment including labour, plant, and equipment
- Coordinate with Technical, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, Commercial, and Project Controls
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in large scale infrastructure or airport projects
- Proven experience managing contractors and complex construction sites
- Demonstrated experience delivering airside works (runway/taxiway/apron/roads earthworks and pavements)
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and project management principles
- Fluent in English is mandatory; professional working proficiency in French is strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

Role Overview
- The Construction Manager will lead the delivery of a large scale airport infrastructure project in Kinshasa, ensuring safe, timely, and cost effective execution.
- Responsible for airside works such as runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage, roads, utilities, and AGL interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day to day construction activities across assigned workstreams.
- Support technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations and risk assessments.
- Translate engineering designs into executable construction plans.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to approved schedules.
- Plan and manage airside phasing and work windows, including shift/night works where required.
- Coordinate airside execution interfaces to avoid rework and maintain critical path.
- Ensure survey control, setting out and level/line control for airside geometry compliance.
- Review and interpret approved drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and related technical documents.
- Review, comment on, and ensure implementation of method statements, inspection and test plans, work packs, permits, and short term execution plans.
- Plan and control site resource deployment, including labour, plant, equipment, machinery, tools, temporary works, access arrangements, and lifting requirements.
- Coordinate with Technical, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, Commercial, and Project Controls.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical specifications and scope of work.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in large scale infrastructure or airport projects.
- Proven experience managing contractors and complex construction sites.
- Demonstrated experience delivering airside works (runway/taxiway/apron/roads earthworks and pavements).
- Experience working in operational airfield environments or under strict access and permit to work controls is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with ICAO airfield requirements is a strong advantage.
- Experience working in Africa, preferably in challenging or emerging markets.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, method statements, inspection and test plans.
- Practical experience in quantity verification, progress measurement, field productivity monitoring.
