The role
The Compliance Operations team verifies, screens, and monitors clients and contractors through risk-based onboarding and compliance workflows before payment activity is enabled.
The Analyst will handle day-to-day document reviews, identity verification, sanctions checks, and risk flagging.
The role works with two analysts, reports to the Head of Operations, and escalates compliance matters to the Head of Compliance.
What you'll do
- Review client KYB documentation, including corporate registration, ownership structure, proof of operations, and authorized representatives.
- Support contractor KYC by verifying IDs and resolving address, payment detail, and jurisdictional mismatches.
- Run sanctions, PEP, and adverse media checks using approved tools and procedures.
- Investigate failed payouts, payment detail changes, and cross-border payment concerns.
- Keep compliance trackers, evidence folders, and case notes accurate and audit-ready.
- Escalate potential fraud, sanctions risk, unusual activity, and policy violations quickly and clearly.
- Work cross-functionally with Customer Success and Operations on client-facing requests.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on compliance experience in KYC, KYB, client or customer onboarding, or sanctions screening.
- Experience at a payment processor, bank, crypto exchange, or money transmitter is ideal.
- Ability to identify missing, inconsistent, or unclear information during document reviews.
- Good written English for clear case notes and client requests.
- Comfort with spreadsheets, case queues, and multiple open cases.
- High attention to detail and sound escalation judgment.
- Arabic fluency is a strong plus but is not required.
