Qualifications

  • What you’ll bring to the role
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, with additional qualifications in business, economics, commerce, accounting or financial services related discipline desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance, legal, regulatory or risk roles, ideally within financial services or general insurance.
  • Strong knowledge and application of the regulatory and legal obligations applicable to general insurers in Australia and New Zealand, with the ability to interpret legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of breach reporting obligations under relevant requirements, including the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), General Insurance Code of Conduct and the Fair Insurance Code.
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance incident management, including investigation, rectification and remediation, and familiarity with compliance management systems and registers.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship skills.
  • Experience leading workstreams, projects or cross-functional initiatives is desirable.
