Role Overview

  • The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of UAS’ internal and external communications initiatives.
  • The role plays an important part in enhancing brand visibility, maintaining consistent corporate messaging, supporting media and public relations activities, and producing high quality content across multiple communication channels.
  • The Communications Specialist works closely with leadership and key departments to ensure communications are aligned with business objectives, corporate values, and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce ghost written op eds, bylines and feature articles for UAS senior leadership.
  • Design and run primary industry research with established research firms.
  • Translate research into branded white papers, industry reports and data led content.
  • Develop account based marketing (ABM) content packages for high value target accounts.
  • Partner with Sales and SDR teams to tailor messaging by account, persona and pipeline stage.
  • Plan and execute public relations initiatives to enhance brand awareness.
  • Coordinate with media outlets and external partners for press releases, media briefings, interviews.
  • Maintain a rolling editorial calendar of leadership voices and topical angles.
  • Monitor and track media coverage, share of voice and PR performance.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes and competitor activities.
  • Produce internal newsletters, leadership cascades and change management communications.
  • Support communication materials during sensitive situations or crisis scenarios.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, content creation, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing content for digital, social media, internal communications, and external communications channels.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with media relations, public relations activities, and content management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools, including social media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Experience in aviation, travel, hospitality, or a global service oriented industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
