Sourcing and category management
- Develop strategic sourcing and commodity strategies for indirect-spend categories.
- Manage MRO, facilities, professional services, IT services, CapEx support, logistics, and other indirect categories as required.
- Analyze spend, supplier markets, pricing, demand patterns, and procurement data.
- Develop category roadmaps and sourcing plans aligned with business objectives.
- Lead RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, tenders, supplier evaluations, and competitive bidding.
Suppliers and negotiations
- Select and onboard strategic suppliers and manage long-term supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, service levels, warranties, contract terms, and commercial conditions.
- Monitor supplier quality, cost, delivery, service, compliance, and responsiveness.
- Establish supplier KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and performance-improvement plans.
- Lead supplier escalations, disputes, supply disruptions, and crisis-resolution activities.
Savings and governance
- Drive supplier consolidation, demand pooling, standardization, specification optimization, and value engineering.
- Identify cost-reduction, cost-avoidance, and procurement value opportunities.
- Track savings, procurement KPIs, spend performance, supplier metrics, and sourcing results.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing controls, approval procedures, procurement governance, and contract requirements.
- Support Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay processes where required.
Risk and stakeholder management
- Monitor inflation, supplier capacity, commodity movements, market trends, and emerging supply risks.
- Develop risk-mitigation and supply-continuity strategies for critical indirect categories.
- Identify opportunities for procurement digitalization, automation, process standardization, and data improvement.
- Maintain sourcing records, contracts, supplier databases, spend analyses, and procurement documentation.
- Participate in regional and global procurement projects and provide recommendations to senior management.
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in strategic procurement, commodity management, indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain management.
- Typically 5 or more years of relevant procurement or commodity-management experience.
- Strong experience managing indirect categories, strategic supplier portfolios, sourcing projects, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in complex manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, EMS, industrial, or technology supply chains is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Coupa, ERP systems, Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Knowledge of sustainable procurement, ESG, supplier risk, responsible sourcing, and professional qualifications such as CIPS or CPSM is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant business, procurement, supply chain, engineering, finance, or economics field is preferred.
- Additional languages and multi-site, regional, or global procurement experience are advantageous.
