Commissioning Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

• In this role, you will be reporting to the Business Manager - Portfolio and will be responsible for on-site robot debugging which includes robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling. The work model for the role is: #Li_onsite This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area for Robot Automotive Division based in Bangalore, India . You will be mainly accountable for:
• Manage and monitor paint shop projects throughout the execution phase until Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) is obtained.
• Achieve and maintain paint process parameters such as DFT, gloss, and color values, including support for underbody coating and spray applications.
• Program and debug industrial robots for applications like spraying, gluing, flaming, blowing, wiping, and film thickness detection, along with hands-on experience in robot disassembly and maintenance.
• Operate and maintain vision measuring systems and independently perform robot simulations for new model introductions.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Paint technology/Chemical engineering/Mechanical.
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in Automation & Paint shops.
• Ability to Paint robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling.
• In depth knowledge of Atomizers/Spray gun and gluing, flaming, blowing, wipe, film thickness detection.
• Familiar with Sealant equipment like ABB IDFP, Graco PCF, SCA Dozer and Powder coating/Solvent borne paints/water borne paint knowledge.
• Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, learning & solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
