Role Overview
Commissioning Engineer role supporting MEP systems for mission-critical data centre projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The position reports to the Commissioning Manager and leads Commissioning Foremen while collaborating with design, QA/QC, and OEM teams.
This is a full-time role focused on precise, coordinated commissioning activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare commissioning strategies, plans, and testing scripts aligned with project specifications and codes.
- Conduct inspections, pre-functional checks, and functional performance tests for mechanical, electrical, BMS, and specialist systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with design and OEM teams.
- Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and start-up to meet project schedules.
- Compile commissioning documentation, test reports, and punch lists for client and consultant review.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians and promote technical best practices.
Experience and Knowledge
- At least 5 years of experience in MEP commissioning and testing processes.
- Proven expertise in functional performance testing and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning methods, and regional codes.
