Position Summary
Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Support food preparation, kitchen sanitation, quality control, and workstation operations in a professional kitchen.
Kitchen Responsibilities
- Portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
- Prepare cold foods and cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test food for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation.
- Set up and break down workstations and serve food in proper portions.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check the temperature of appliances and food.
Safety and Team Responsibilities
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications and maintain quality expectations.
- Communicate clearly, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds during shifts.
