• Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
• To assist in the preparation and service of food and prepare mise en place for the outlets as required.
• To adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests. Continually look for opportunities to recommend improvements and additions to the Anantara presentation guidelines.
• To keep all working areas clean and tidy to maintain a hygienic working environment.
• To maintain food safety and protection. Ensure all food in working areas complies with proper food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, rotation, etc. Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• To take responsibility for looking after all hotel property, equipment, and facilities.
• To participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and overall hotel service levels.
• To maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
• To assist with events, banquets, and other functions as required.
• To adhere to all personal hygiene and grooming standards, fire safety rules, and health and safety regulations.
