Position Overview

Key Duties

• Wash and peel ingredients and prepare mise en place to the standards set by superiors.
• Set up and replenish buffets and assist with requisition pickup and storage organization.
• Monitor ingredient levels, report low stock, and store and label ingredients correctly.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, utensils, and kitchen areas before and after use.
• Report cleanliness and maintenance issues and support daily kitchen checks.
• Follow personal hygiene, food safety, hotel quality, and UAE Municipality standards.
• Assist colleagues, other outlets, and banquets when requested.
• Attend required meetings and training and perform other reasonable assigned duties.

Candidate Requirements

• A high school qualification or equivalent is required.
• A Hospitality or Culinary Arts degree or Higher National Diploma is preferred.
• Two years of Commis 1 or Commis 2 experience in a high-volume hotel or free-standing restaurant is preferred.
• Basic food holding and preparation experience is required.
• The role requires long-hour availability, operational focus, and the ability to handle objects weighing up to 15 kg without assistance.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and utensils is required, while basic food hygiene knowledge is preferred.
