IT Assistant - Audio Visual (AV)

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the IT department in Dubai, the IT Assistant is responsible to provide additional support to the hotel IT Manager on the day-to-day IT support within the hotel.

This includes, but not limited to first line colleague support, second line guest support, IT hardware and software maintenance tasks, system event alert rectifications and AV support issues.

IT Assistant reports to the IT Manager.

As an IT Assistant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provide daily IT support to both colleagues and guests, including second-line and weekend support.

• Assist with routine IT tasks and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.

• Deliver dedicated Audio Visual support, including preventive maintenance and event setup.

• Support meetings and events with IT-related AV services.

• Follow up on project tasks as part of ongoing project management responsibilities.

• Monitor and assist with cybersecurity operations and ensure compliance with security protocols.

As an IT Assistant, we expect from you:

• Experienced in IT and AV support, including equipment setup, transport, and repair.

• Skilled in camera, lighting techniques, editing software, and multimedia production tools.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively.

• Creative, flexible, and proficient in word processing and computer systems.

• Physically capable of long periods of sitting/standing, with good hearing and eyesight.

• Holds a high school diploma or GED; an associate's degree is a plus.
