Role Overview
Support pastry food preparation and service operations for the resort's outlets.
Prepare mise en place and help maintain consistent culinary presentation and quality.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and service and prepare mise en place for outlets as required.
- Follow food preparation and presentation guidelines and recommend improvements to presentation standards.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy and maintain food safety, hygiene, storage, dating, and stock rotation practices.
- Look after hotel property and facilities and participate in departmental training.
- Maintain departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
- Assist at events, banquets, and other functions as required.
- Follow personal hygiene, grooming, fire safety, and health and safety rules.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Basic cake decorating, piping, glazing, and dessert plating skills.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry equipment operation.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP.
- Understanding of food storage, stock rotation, and waste control.
- Attention to detail, creativity, teamwork, communication, time management, and organization.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Food Handler or Food Safety Certificate.
