Role Overview
The Commis 1 supports Calo Qatar's on-demand QSR kitchen with daily preparation, cooking, and assembly tasks.
The role helps maintain production efficiency and ensures orders are accurately prepared and delivered on time.
Working Expectations
- The role works under the guidance of senior chefs and chef de parties in the section.
- The role works closely with kitchen management and production leads to support workflow efficiency and consistency.
- The position involves shift-based work in a high-volume environment with mandatory personal protective equipment during production.
Main Responsibilities
- Execute cooking, assembly, and preparation tasks consistently and efficiently.
- Follow daily production and service plans for timely delivery of prepared hot meals.
- Maintain QSR speed while following quality and nutritional guidelines.
- Portion food precisely according to calorie and macronutrient guidelines.
- Minimize waste through storage, labeling, rotation, and yield optimization.
- Perform due diligence checks and follow HACCP, sanitation, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Have 3–4 years of minimum experience as a Commis 1 or Commis 2 in QSR or high-volume restaurants.
- Be proficient with basic health and safety practices and HACCP standards.
- HACCP certification is preferred.
Knowledge and Competency
- Understand basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Communicate in English and work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate passion for quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
