Role Overview
The Commi 1 supports the kitchen team with daily food preparation and cooking.
The role is based on-site in Dubai and supports timely production of meals for delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with mise en place, ingredient preparation, and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain portion control, presentation consistency, hygiene, food safety, and clean organized workstations.
- Coordinate with kitchen team members, follow senior chef instructions, and support stock rotation and basic inventory checks.
- Help minimize food waste and contribute to timely meal production.
Qualifications
- Strong food preparation and basic cooking skills, including mise en place and ingredient handling.
- Foundational culinary skills and knowledge of standard recipes, kitchen tools, and cooking techniques.
- Commitment to hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP or similar standards.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food production environment.
- Ability to work shifts, stand for extended periods, and manage tasks under time pressure while maintaining quality.
