Commercial Finance Analyst

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and commercial performance across products, customers, and business areas.
• Prepare management reports, forecasts, budgets, and performance analyses.
• Evaluate revenue, costs, margins, pricing, and profitability trends.
• Identify financial risks, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
• Support business cases, investment decisions, and commercial initiatives.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support planning.
• Partner with sales, operations, marketing, and leadership teams.
• Monitor key performance indicators and explain significant variances.
• Translate complex financial information into clear business recommendations.
• Contribute to process improvements that strengthen financial visibility and decision-making.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Three or more years of relevant commercial finance, FP&A, financial analysis, or business analysis experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management is required.
• Knowledge of revenue, cost, margin, pricing, and performance analysis is required.
• Familiarity with financial modeling, reporting, and business intelligence concepts is required.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and standard financial analysis tools is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, independent-working, and stakeholder-management skills are required.
• Professional certifications are not required unless specifically relevant to the role.
