Role Purpose

  • Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies and revenue generating initiatives across events and visitor experience offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to enhance revenue streams and financial sustainability
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities across events, retail, ticketing, food & beverage, and venue hire
  • Monitor market trends, visitor behavior, and industry benchmarks to inform commercial planning and revenue forecasting
  • Track and analyze sales performance and commercial outcomes and implement improvement initiatives
  • Support the planning and delivery of high quality events with strong commercial outcomes
  • Design and deliver premium, revenue generating event experiences aligned with organizational values
  • Ensure integration of commercial considerations into event planning, including pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies
  • Oversee commercial operations related to events, retail, ticketing, F&B, and venue hire, ensuring efficiency and compliance
  • Ensure high standards of service quality and customer experience across all commercial touchpoints
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of commercial services during events
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and commercial partners
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and oversee supplier performance

  • Ensure effective cascading of functional strategy into unit business plans
  • Manage the achievement of assigned objectives through leadership, performance management, staff development, and motivation
  • Act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics
  • Ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures, and controls
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on productivity, sustainability, and cost optimization
  • Ensure all unit reports are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner
  • Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies, and procedures
