About the Role
Taqeef seeks a Collections Officer to manage receipt issuance, cheque collection, payment allocation, and reconciliation. The role requires a BSc in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of collections or AR experience, and proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel.

Responsibilities
- Issue receipts (CRVs) and coordinate the collection of cheques from the customers
- Ensure accurate and up to date receipts records in the NAV system
- Correctly allocate the payment against the invoice in the NAV system
- Liaise with the sales team and customers to address the unpaid invoices
- Ensure timely deposits of cheques in banks and CDM machines
- Perform reconciliation of the PDC cheques against cleared cheques in the bank
- Cheque Scanning and Deposit to bank
- Ensure rebates, cash discounts, and other deductions offered to customers are approved and supported by countersigned contracts/agreements
- Follow up on bounced cheques with a sales team and maintain PDC/ return list updated
- Follow up with customers and the sales team on the overdue payments
- Prepare customer's statement of accounts and monthly confirmation of accounts to reconcile the payment history
- Prepare monthly reports related to Aging Accounts, Partial Delivery Status, and pending sales orders to the relevant functions
Requirements
- BSc in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance disciplines
- 2+ years of experience in collection or accounts receivables roles
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Hands on experience in using accounting systems
- Attention to detail, analytical, and customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced MS Excel

- Handling requirements for customers who work on the ERP systems
Qualifications
- BSc in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance disciplines.
- 2+ years of experience in collection or accounts receivables roles.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Hands on experience in using accounting systems.
- Attention to detail, analytical, and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced MS Excel.
