Position Summary
Maintain accurate financial records, cash records, postings, documents, and computerized financial information.
Prepare accounting, financial, auditing, payroll, and statistical reports and complete period-end closing procedures.
Reconcile invoices and account statements and follow up on past-due accounts and vendor invoices.
Responsibilities
- Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
- Organize and maintain files, records, cash, and cash equivalents according to company procedures.
- Classify, code, and summarize financial data using journals, ledgers, and computers.
- Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute financial and accounting reports.
- Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.
- Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
- Follow up on past-due accounts and vendor invoices until payment or resolution.
- Coordinate tasks with other departments and help ensure timely, quality completion of work.
- Maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, and follow company policies and procedures.
- Communicate professionally, prepare accurate written documents, answer telephones appropriately, and support team goals.
