Position Summary
The Reservations Agent processes reservation requests, changes, and cancellations and supports guest inquiries about rooms, rates, facilities, and services.
The position is full time and non-management at the Ritz-Carlton in Doha, Qatar.
Reservation Responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Identify guest needs, determine room types, and verify availability and rates.
- Explain guarantee, special-rate, and cancellation policies.
- Document special requests and answer questions about property facilities, services, and accommodations.
- Use sales techniques to maximize revenue.
- Enter reservation codes and rates for complimentary, employee-discount, travel-agent inspection, and wholesale reservations.
- Follow escalation procedures for guest concerns.
Guest Service and Standards
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Follow company policies, quality-assurance standards, confidentiality requirements, and guest and coworker privacy expectations.
