Responsibilities
- Monitor daily and monthly costs across public cloud platforms, on premise/private cloud, and SaaS platforms.
- Track consumption trends for compute, storage, networking, PaaS services, and platform/shared services.
- Identify cost anomalies and escalate to FinOps Lead.
- Enforce cloud tagging and labeling standards for entity, service, cost center, and environment.
- Validate cost allocation accuracy across entities, departments, and services.
- Operate and maintain FinOps and cost tools such as cloud native tools and FinOps platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across tools, support automation of reports and alerts.
- Track cloud and platform spending against approved budgets and support forecasting activities.
- Support optimization initiatives by identifying idle resources, tracking unused licenses, and supporting rightsizing.
- Prepare regular reports: daily/weekly cost summaries, monthly showback/chargeback reports, service level reports.
- Maintain dashboards for management, service owners, and finance stakeholders.
- Work with Service Management teams to link services to cost models and support request based costing.
Requirements
- 2–5 years experience in cloud operations, financial reporting, IT operations support, or cost management
- Exposure to at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or Oracle OCI
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas)
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Understanding of cloud billing concepts
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (preferred)
- Azure Fundamentals / AWS Cloud Practitioner (preferred)
- ITIL v4 Foundation (advantage)

Position Summary
- The FinOps Administrator is responsible for the operational execution of FinOps practices, supporting cloud and platform cost visibility, reporting, allocation, and optimization activities across SDD’s environments.
- The role focuses on cost data collection, tagging enforcement, reporting, dashboards, budget tracking, and day to day FinOps operations, working under the guidance of a Senior FinOps Analyst or FinOps Lead.
- This position acts as the bridge between cloud platforms, finance, service management, and technical teams, ensuring cost data is accurate, transparent, and actionable.
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor daily and monthly costs across public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Oracle OCI), on premise/private cloud services, and SaaS platforms.

Required Experience
- 2–5 years experience in cloud operations, financial reporting, IT operations support, or cost management/budgeting roles.
- Exposure to at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or Oracle OCI.
- Experience working with financial or operational data.

- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Understanding of cloud billing concepts.
- Basic understanding of cloud services and cost drivers.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy.

Preferred Certifications
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (or working towards it)

Reporting Line
