Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, serverless) that meet functional, nonfunctional, and compliance requirements.
- Lead migration planning and execution from on‑prem or legacy systems to cloud environments.
- Define infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards and implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or equivalent.
- Design network, identity, and security architectures (VPCs/VNets, VPN/Direct Connect, IAM, encryption, security groups).
- Build high-availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies; define RTO/RPO.
- Establish observability: logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and runbooks.
- Implement cost management, rightsizing, and tagging strategies; provide cost forecasts and optimization recommendations.
- Recommend and design CI/CD pipelines, platform automation, and developer self-service platforms.
- Select and integrate managed services (databases, messaging, caching, ML, analytics) with an emphasis on operational simplicity.
- Create reference architectures, reusable modules, patterns, and best-practice guidance.
- Review and approve cloud design decisions, run architecture reviews, and enforce governance.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, operations, and product teams to translate requirements into architecture and delivery plans.
- Prototype PoCs and evaluate emerging cloud technologies and third‑party services.
- Mentor engineers on cloud best practices and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Participate in incident response for cloud infrastructure and lead post-incident reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (specify in posting).
- Strong knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep/ARM), CI/CD tooling, and automated testing for infra.
- Deep understanding of networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, load balancers), identity and access management, and security controls.
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/GKE/AKS) and serverless patterns.
- Experience with managed services: RDS/Aurora, Cloud SQL, CosmosDB, BigQuery, S3/Blob/Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub/Kafka, Redis, etc.
- Proven track record in cost optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR) and implementing controls in cloud.
- Proficient in one or more scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell).
- Strong design, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, Stackdriver).
Preferred
- Cloud Architect certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Pro, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience building internal developer platforms (PaaS/self-service) or SRE experience.
- Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud architectures and service mesh technologies.
- Familiarity with IaC testing, policy-as-code (OPA, Sentinel), and GitOps workflows.
- Experience with data platforms, analytics, ML infrastructure, or edge/cloud-native security tooling.
- Pay: QAR22,743.15 - QAR35,238.20 per month
